Methodology
A verdict is one of five states: confirmed derivative, likely derivative, regular model, retailer exclusive, or unknown. “Same TV, different name” is a confirmed relationship whose cited source says the difference is the model designation.
What can be confirmed
- An official or review source explicitly describes the relationship.
- Or both models have firsthand specs showing a real difference, plus a second independent source supporting the relationship or the channel.
What is not a fact
Rules decoded from the model number are labeled separately. A year letter that is missing from the US Samsung guide is an unverified year code, not a year. ENERGY STAR's viewable diagonal is not replaced with the class size printed in the model number. A certification record does not prove that several retailers stock the TV or that the brand publishes a retail spec page.
Corrections
Use the report page to prepare a correction. Publishing is manual. A brand or retailer correction request should be handled within 48 hours once a contact channel is configured.
